在 San Jose 市中心二英畝大的「Plaza de Cesar Chavez」廣場無疑是最具假日歡樂氣氛的夢幻國度，今年是第 28 屆。悠遊在數百顆裝扮得五彩繽紛的聖誕樹之中，讓人彷彿置身聖誕夢工廠。

此活動將持續到明年元旦，很適合全家大小同遊。嘉年華遊樂場（Carnival Rides）將 San Jose 市中心轉換成大型的兒童遊樂場，一票遊到底只要 US$13，十分值回票價（在小小孩眼中可能比迪士尼樂園還好玩，因為不用排長長的隊）。與「Christmas in the Park」、「Downtown Ice」三合一，大概是南灣最具聖誕氣氛的地方了。

活動：棕梠樹下圓型溜冰場

喜歡溜冰的，不妨到 San Jose 市中心這個僅在年底開放的露天溜冰場，跟在一般溜冰場玩的氣氛真的不同喔。

活動：聖誔節燈光秀
時間：2008 年 11 月 28 日 ~ 12 月 31 日（每晚六點到十點）

一面開車、一面欣賞聖誔燈光秀又浪漫又精采。但此景點十分熱門，小小塞車一下是免不了的，但絕對值回票價。

「San Carlos」家家戶戶都爭奇鬥豔式地裝飾聖誕燈飾，簡直蔚為奇觀，喜歡看聖誕燈飾的，千萬別錯過此一免費的景點，絕對讓人嘆為觀止。


★　Christmas Tree Lane on Fulton Street @ Palo Alto
活動：聖誕樹巷弄
時間：2008 年 12 月 13 日 ~ 12 月 31 日（每天傍晚五點到晚上十一點）

這是「Old Palo Alto」超過六十幾年歷史的聖誕巷弄，此條巷號上的居民自發性地佈置聖誕庭院，讓這兒成為聖誕節期間的觀光景點。


★　Holiday Film Festival @ San Jose
活動：假日懷念老電影
時間：2008 年 12 月 19 ~ 28 日
地點：California Theatre

San Jose 這座美崙美奐的「California Theatre」斥資七千五百萬美元大整修，終於 2004 年重新啟用，聖誕假期播放一些經典的老電影片（White Christmas、A Christmas Story、The Polar Express 等等，聖誕夜放的是「It's a Wonderful Life」），只要花五美元，就能在一流戲院看電影喔。


★　Walking with Dinosaurs - The Live Experience @ San Jose
活動：與恐龍漫步

由 BBC 之電視影集改編，斥資二千萬美元預算製作而成，在澳洲連續十周入場券全數售罄，今年是第二度到 San Jose 來表演。逼真的全尺寸恐龍，而且是「活的」喔，比進入「侏羅紀公園」還精采！（美美去年有去，印象深刻，大力推薦。）


★　San Francisco Zoo's Reindeer Romp & Ice Skating @ San Francisco
活動：麋鹿、溜冰、舊金山動物園
時間：2008 年 11 月 22 ~ 2009 年 1 月 1 日
地點：San Francisco Zoo

門票：全票 US$25（含動物園門票與溜冰）。

來舊金山動物園，無疑也是慶祝聖誕的好去處。應景主角除了有麋鹿，還有各種可愛的動物會跟小朋友一起溜冰喔。


★　The Nutcracker Ballet
活動：胡桃鉗芭蕾舞

「胡桃鉗（The Nutcracker）」 這個聖誕限定的曲目，很多地方的芭蕾舞團都有表演，演出陣容與票價都不同，甚至也有適合小朋友／全家大小一起觀賞的版本。（一直很想去看，卻始終找不出時間。）
